Stephen Hawking’s Brilliant Three Pieces of Advice For A Better Life

On March 14, 2018 one of the most intelligent people on the planet passed away. Ever since his motor neuron disease diagnosis at a young age, Stephen Hawking has been fighting and educating people with every fiber of his being.

At the time of his diagnosis, he was given just two years to live. However, he defied the odds again and again by outliving that meager diagnosis. Even after his death, Stephen Hawking has not ceased to educate people, whether through his books such as A Brief History Of Time, or his words and teachings.

The following three pieces of advice will benefit each and every one of us, and I highly recommend writing these words of wisdom down.

Read on to learn three important life lessons from the indomitable Stephen Hawking.

1: “Remember to look up at the stars not down at your feet”

Stephen Hawking wanted to learn as much as he could about space and time, but he was passionate, too, that people don’t miss the beautiful wonders of this planet. With these words, he wanted to remind everyone that it is important to take in your surroundings and be appreciative for what we have rather than constantly chasing our dreams.

2: “Never give up work. Work gives you meaning and purpose, and life is empty without it.”

If anyone knew the meaning of hard work, it was Stephen Hawking. He worked tirelessly to understand as much as he could about time and space. That doesn’t mean you need to become a genius scientist to work hard, though. Whatever your passion in life, it’s important to find a job that fulfills you. Having a purpose in life is not only good for your wallet, but it gives you a reason to wake up each morning and feel good about yourself.

3: “If you are lucky enough to find love, remember it is rare and don’t throw it away.”

You don’t need to be a leading scientist to understand the meaning of this statement. Stephen Hawking was lucky enough to find love twice in his life, but sadly both marriages ended in divorce so he truly valued love and all the wonderful things that come with love. His words remind us how special it is to find someone who loves us and not to take it for granted.

If you enjoyed Stephen Hawking’s words of wisdom, be sure to let your friends and family know too!
