Have you ever met a person who just doesn’t seem to fit their age based on their personality? This is probably an everyday occurrence for most, and the reason for this can vary a lot. But, one main thing that people never take notice of are the surroundings of the person not acting their age?
Their background, their family, love life?
Usually, the people who haven’t gotten enough love and attention stop growing mentally and emotionally, because for in order to grow and develop your emotional intelligence you need to have experience based on the emotional. These people have different needs and requirements when it comes to developing relationships because of the lack of emotional experience. They perceive things differently and have different mindsets.
Love And Affection During Childhood
If during childhood the child stops getting love and affection, its sense of trust and love are shattered and damaged, which makes it hard for the child to adapt to the lack of these things. Once they become adults, people have a very hard time adjusting to socialization. They feel like they’re completely left out and don’t know what to do about it.
They are extremely vulnerable when it comes to relationships and completely lost. They’re quite shy and often extremely quiet about their true feelings.
Lack of Love and Affection
An interesting thing about these people is that they’re extremely good at hiding their true emotions. This is something that is stronger than them. Even though they perceive their surroundings like everyone is constantly judging them and thinking negatively about them.
This all comes as a result of the lack of love and affection of the parents in one family.
If you ever plan on having children, you need to think about if you have enough time, patience, and devotion to care for a child. It’s an incredibly huge responsibility, and you probably wouldn’t want to scar a person to a point where they completely lose connection with themselves.
During adulthood, if they don’t get proper therapy, they are not going to have enough time to focus on their dreams, goals, and love lives, because they’re too preoccupied with thoughts of how incomplete they are. They don’t even have to think about it.
It’s a constant void that they always seek ways of how to fill it, but it often results in no success. While raising a child, you need to shower it with love. The child needs to have that sense of security while growing up so that they don’t feel completely alone while growing up.
A loved child is going to grow up a healthy, independent person ready to love and to prosper in life.
No Room for Panic
This is not to say that a person that has gotten less love in their childhood is not going to be just the same, but the fact that it’s going to be a much harder time for them to accomplish these things is absolute reality.
If you recognize yourself in these words, there’s no room for panic. We live in a time where you can get the needed help in order to heal. But you need to allow your inner child to speak out. Stop suppressing it and let it say the things that the little you has wanted to say for years.
Try to visualize the little you. Try to paint a picture of little you in your head while focusing on what you see around you. Any people – a scenery? That can say a lot about the state that you are in.
You need to allow yourself to be both your own parent and child in order to heal.
Write down how you’re feeling about the topic and do not be afraid to speak to a friend whom you trust. If anything, someone is going to hear you out, and just that is going to make you feel 100% better.
The healing process from a broken childhood is one bumpy and long ride. But it’s absolutely necessary if you want to free yourself from all of these traumas and worries.
It’s Time to Self-Esteem and Love Yourself
Good luck! And remember, you are not alone. If you don’t have Self-Confidence and Love Yourself , you’re not going to be able to love and appreciate anyone else, including your children. – Dr. Joe Rubino
